what to anticipate during your portrait planning and delivery process

01.

the reservation

Family sessions are reserved on select weekday and weekend evenings at sunset. For newborn sessions, your due date is marked on my calendar to reserve your date. Once your baby is born, let me know and we will confirm your session date. Typically newborn sessions are held in the first 14 days after birth.

the planning

Our time together begins with a conversation because I want to learn your goals for the portrait session. For instance, in which room of your home do you plan to display your art? Is your heart set on an album? What are your biggest concerns? We will discuss everything ensuring a stress free portrait-session experience!

 03.

the session

Family and maternity sessions will typically last one hour. We will have a lot of fun, play games to keep children interested and ensure a good time. During the session I will guide you through some poses, but mostly I will capture frame worthy candid moments you may not even realize are happening!

04.

the reveal

The editing process will take approximately two weeks. Once the images are ready for you to view, we will have the reveal and design appointment, if needed. I will help you decide on the best way to enjoy your favorite images for years to come.

I photograph mamas with their newest little love. My newborn portrait work focuses on documenting all the details about a new baby that you may soon forget like how they curl into the same position they had while in your womb or their adorable loose skin on wrinkly knees, fuzzy hair on shoulders, and just how tiny and precious they are. No trendy props or poses are necessary - just your precious child, wrapped in a blanket and placed in your arms. With no loss in quality, style, or experience newborn sessions are done at your home - where it's safe, quiet, and comfortable.

I photograph women honoring love and togetherness with their families. This family session is much more than getting a photo for an annual holiday card or to share on social media. The portraits we create capture pure moments, togetherness and will preserve your legacy FOREVER. One day, you will experience your children embrace adulthood and leave your home. Perhaps a loved one will pass far too soon or you will have to accept the reality that the end of your own life is near.
